My Own Man

This intimate, humorous, and emotional look at what it means to be a man follows filmmaker David Sampliner's quest to overcome his manhood insecurities after he learns that he will be the father of a baby boy. Knowing he will have to teach his son the ways of manhood, Sampliner's journey takes him on many manly -- and not so manly -- adventures, from voice lessons and men's groups to deer hunting and, ultimately, reconnecting with his own father.
