Information Page:

So the story goes like this. Adam Sandler writes a new movie, tries to sell it to movie studios, signs contract to produce original content to Netflix and boom, “The Ridiculous 6” is born.

If you’re a fan of Sandler and his many films you know his formula by now: Sandler plays a guy, who has to complete a task to get what he wants. In Happy Gilmore it was win a Golf tournament to save his grandmas house. In Billy Madison he has to complete school to inherit the family fortune. In “The Ridiculous 6” he has to raise money to save his long lost father.

Sandler plays Tommy aka White Knife, who was raised by Native Americans; he goes on a mission to save his outlaw father Frank Stockburn, played by Nick Nolte. White Knife is joined by 5 others, who by complete coincidence also have an outlaw father called Frank Stockburn.

The film is set in the Wild West and with that comes outlaws, saloons, thieves, horse riding and the guy who invented baseball? Yes, the film is ridiculous, in fact it might be the most ridiculous film Sandler has made but with his usual cast made up of Sandler-regulars such as Rob Schneider, Jon Lovitz, John Turturro, Steve Buscemi and Harvey Keitel. The titular Ridiculous 6 are made up of Sandler, Rob Schneider, Luke WilsonTerry Crews, Jorge Garcia and Taylor Lautner.

The film is stupid, silly and definitely ridiculous but if you’re a fan of Sandler then you’ll find this entertaining. I liked it but I hope the rest of the movies Sandler does with Netflix is better than this one.
